start with our online education covering the fundamentals of sunless tanning, skin + color theory, solutions, equipment, preparation, application, client experience + the business behind the service.

work through it on your own time before moving into your live training.

02 — strategy

let's talk about it.

a private theory and strategy session with Lindsay to go beyond the course.

bring your questions, talk through what you're learning + dive into the areas most relevant to you — from technique + solutions to pricing, services, setup + building your business.

03 — mastery lab

now we put it into practice.

a 3-hour hands-on training at Shade Collective in La Jolla.

we'll work through application technique, positioning, solution selection, troubleshooting + full body and face contouring with real-time instruction + correction.

I've spent 15 years in the beauty industry, 7+ years building my own spray tan business + years training artists.

Shade started mobile, grew into a single treatment room + eventually became the multi-room studio it is today.

the training comes from doing this every day — working on real bodies, building a real clientele, trying things, changing things + learning what actually works.

I'm not just teaching you how to spray tan. I'm teaching you what I've learned building a business around it.

  • Yes, this is actually the option most students choose.

    We offer flexible payment plans through Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay, with both short and long-term options available depending on what works best for you. You’ll be able to preview your payment options before committing, so you can choose what feels most comfortable.

  • Literally nothing, just show up.

    Once your payment is finalized, you’ll be booked into training and given access to the student portal to begin Phase 1. We handle scheduling your models and provide all equipment and solutions used during class.

    Everything is designed to feel seamless so you can focus fully on learning.

  • Equipment is not included, and that’s intentional.

    Every student has different goals, budgets, and business models (mobile vs. in-studio), so instead of a one-size-fits-all kit, we guide you through the best options for you.

    You’ll receive curated recommendations and direct links on all of our preferred equipment and products.

  • Not at all.

    This training is designed for both complete beginners and artists looking to refine their technique. We start with the fundamentals and build all the way into advanced application, so you’ll feel confident no matter where you’re starting from.

  • We typically book 1–2 months in advance, depending on availability.

    Trainings are usually held on Sundays and Monday mornings, but we do have some flexibility depending on your schedule. Occasionally, earlier openings become available, so it’s always worth reaching out.

  • Once you’re ready, you’ll submit an inquiry to book a discovery call.

    On the call, we’ll go over your goals, walk through the full training structure, and answer any questions so you have a clear understanding of what to expect.

    If it feels like a good fit, I’ll send over a payment link. Once your payment is finalized, you’ll be officially booked and I’ll handle everything from there.

    You’ll also get access to the student portal right away so you can begin Phase 1 and start exploring all of the resources before your live session.
