Its that time of year again. Festival season. This means warmer weather and outfits leaving little to the imagination, aka time to book your spray tan.
If you’re in the Southern California area like us you’re probably heading to Coachella, Stagecoach or one of the many LA festivals happening in April. Coachella valley is known for its hot dry weather and we all know the key to a long lasting tan is moisture. The dryer the skin the quicker your tan can fade and get splotchy, especially with the increase in friction from dancing and strappy clothing so it is super important to take good care of your skin during these times.

moisturize (use more lotion) hydrate (drink more water) before, during and after your appointment. we love hempz, or any gentle moisturizer that is free of mineral oil, heavy artificial fragrance and harsh chemicals.
book your appointment as close to your departure as possible.
request a sweat resistant solution, these solutions are made to withstand much more than a regular spray tan solution due to its main ingredient DMI.
add on a moisture treatment if your studio offers this. These treatments can be very beneficial for those in dryer climates and claim to add days to your spray tan.
use spray tan safe products. bask spf 50 is our go-to sunscreen as it is spray tan safe, reef safe and white cast free. wash the dust and spilled $30 cocktails off with nuda body wash, made to be gentle on spray tans. extend your tan with our favorite face tan water from nuda. because we all know the face is the first to go.
be mindful of how your outfits sit on your skin. the more friction and the tighter the pieces fit the more likely it is for the tan to fade those areas after a long day of wear and tear. the stretchier the better.
